My story is a love story, really
I grew up on the East Coast, where I learned early that the best stories are told through small, honest moments, rugged landscapes, and a culture that values deep connection.
I shot my first wedding in 2020, and that was the first wedding I had been to since I was a child. I fell in love with capturing the love and happiness of the day. Since then, I have photographed over 30 weddings every year.
What I love most is being around all the happy people. Everyone is there to celebrate the love between two people, and it always radiates from everyone. That feeling is what I try to give back in every gallery.

Hi, I’m Mélanie, an Ottawa wedding photographer providing refined, editorial, natural light photography for couples in Ottawa and destinations beyond.
Based in Ottawa, photographing weddings in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.
I believe that the best photos don’t happen when you’re staring at a lens. They happen in the quiet gaps between the big moments. It’s the way he looks at you when you aren’t looking, the messy laughter during your first dance and the deep breaths right before you walk down the aisle.
My approach is simple: I’m there to capture the unfiltered, honest version of your love. Whether we’re exploring the hidden corners of Ottawa or travelling for your destination elopement, my goal is to make you feel completely at ease.

What a wedding day with me is like
I am the calm one in the room, and the fun one when you need a laugh. I will help you breathe before you walk down the aisle, fix a stray hair without making a fuss, and keep family photos moving so you can get back to your people.
I work quietly during the ceremony and the speeches, and I step in gently for portraits, a little direction, a lot of room to just be yourselves. I love golden hour, I love a full dance floor, and I will stay for the moments you did not know you wanted photographed.
You do not need to know how to pose. You just need to show up as yourselves, and I will take care of the rest.
